This visa for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian educational institution. It lets them live, work and study in Australia temporarily after they have finished their studies.
You have three different visa streams to choose from; Graduate Work Stream(GWS), Post Study Work Stream(PSWV) and Replacement Stream.
The applicant must be in Australia. concession applies if you are making an application under the replacement stream. (Graduates affected by COVID-19 travel restrictions can now apply for and be granted a Temporary Graduate visa outside Australia – they must hold or have held an eligible student visa.)
You must be under aged 50 years of age

You must meet the Australian Study requirement and apply within 6 months of completing your course.
Usually up to 18 months. (Temporarily increased to 24 months for visas granted from 1 December 2021. Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay for 5 years.)
If you applied for and were granted your first student visa to Australia on or after 5 November 2011.

485 Visa holders are unable to stay in Australia for the full period of their previous visa due to the COVID restrictions in force from 1 February 2020 to 14 December 2021.

This visa is for engineering graduates who not have previously been the primary visa holder of subclass 476 or 485 visas. You must have completed a degree or higher qualification from a specified institution within the past 2 years.
Be under 31 years of age
Usually up to 18 months. You can't stay in Australia longer by extending this visa.

You can include family unit members in your application when you apply. Also, your family members might be able to apply to join you in Australia later as a subsequent entrant.
The visa costs AUD425 for the main applicant.
