Graduate Visas

Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)

This visa for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian educational institution. It lets them live, work and study in Australia temporarily after they have finished their studies.

You have three different visa streams to choose from; Graduate Work Stream(GWS), Post Study Work Stream(PSWV) and Replacement Stream.

The applicant must be in Australia.  concession applies if you are making an application under the replacement stream. (Graduates affected by COVID-19 travel restrictions can now apply for and be granted a Temporary Graduate visa outside Australia – they must hold or have held an eligible student visa.)

This visa is for engineering graduates who not have previously been the primary visa holder of subclass 476 or 485 visas. You must have completed a degree or higher qualification from a specified institution within the past 2 years.
